‘Jack’ and ‘Jill’, unique 2-bedroom, strawbale houses in a stunning, elevated Highland setting. ‘Jack’ caters to people of all physical abilities.
FACILITIES
Each house has floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto a balcony, a well equipped kitchen, en-suite bedrooms, wi-fi, a large deck with chiminea and a hot tub. Also adjacent BBQ areas.
DISABLED ACCESS
‘Jack’ is fully accessible with a wheelchair lift, wet rooms, mechanised toilet, lowered kitchen work surface and hoists in the bedroom, bathroom and for the hot tub.
ABOUT US
Robert and Justine Dunn have lived and worked in Strontian for 22 years. Before that they were tropical foresters working mainly in Africa and the Caribbean.
“We have always planned to develop some holiday rental properties and when Robert came across the design for these strawbale houses we knew this was what we wanted to build. It has been a huge learning experience for both of us, but we think we have managed to produce somewhere for a unique Highland holiday experience.”

‘We came here for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. It has been a perfect week. The weather was surprisingly warm and the house an absolute delight, very comfortable and clean. Very much enjoyed the daly visits from the pine martens and sitting in the hot tub. ‘Jack’ was warm and comfortable and everything we needed. The view is wonderful and all the places we visited have been breathtakingly beautiful.’

Having stayed in many properties in the Highlands this is, by far, the one I have connected with the most. The combination of exquisite design and great hots makes for what can only be described as the perfect getaway.’
